Scout Merit Badge

Aviation Merit BadgeIf your scout troop schedules a visit to The AMC Museum we will provide a three to four hour session that will help you complete several of the requirements of the Aviation Scout Merit Badge.

Scouts will have the opportunity to fly one of the aircraft in the museum in our flight simulator. Due to the time required with larger groups all visitors may not have an individual opportunity to fly.

Advance Scheduling required. Call 677-5942 if you have questions or to schedule a group.

 

Flight Simulator

Visitors 10 or older can fly any of the museum aircraft on our flight simulator. Our volunteers will instruct you on the principles of flight including take-off, flying in the pattern and landing at Dover Air Force Base.

Note: Hours limited by volunteer availability.

Research Library

Our library and photo archives are available to serious researchers by appointment. E-mail amcmuseum@us.af.mil or call 302-677-5938 opt 2.
