75 Years Young!

In early March 1944, a C-47 transport aircraft came off the production line of the Douglas Aircraft Company’s plant in Oklahoma City. After inspection testing it was accepted by the Army Air Force and assigned serial number 42–92841. As was the practice, aircraft were referred to by the last three digits of its number, 841.
