A-11 Leather Flying Helmet

Description

In WWII Lieutenant Arnold Bernfeld was assigned to the 8th Air Force, 509th Bombardment Squadron, 351st Bombardment Group (H) stationed at Polebrook, England. As a bombardier he flew on B-17G “Faith.”

This chamois-lined leather helmet with interphone jack has the U.S. AAF insignia stenciled in white on the left side.
