Dover AFB Sign

Description

First Lieutenant Kameron Kerger was deployed from Dover AFB, Delaware, to Balad AB, Iraq, from March-June 2004. She served as the Assistant Officer in Charge, Intelligence, with the 332nd Expeditionary Operation Support Squadron.

Hand-lettered wooden signs identifying different hometowns appeared all over tent city at Balad AB. Lt. Kerger used a database to calculate the exact mileage from a Balad runway to a Dover AFB runway. Her Dover AFB sign was installed outside her living tent during her deployment.
