One of the many survival tools issued to men in WWII was an emergency signaling mirror. This ESM/2 version made by General Electric Co. could be used in an emergency to attract ships or aircraft by reflecting sunlight. Issued in a paper case, the mirror has directions for use printed on one side and a cotton lanyard.
