Film Case Cover

Description

During the Korean War, RF-51 aircraft were fitted with cameras and flew over enemy front lines to gather intelligence. The film case cover is hand painted with Sylvester the cat flying an RF-51 and the words “45th TAC. RECON. SQDN.” The donor, Donald Eliason, repaired RF-51 cameras in Korea while assigned to the 45th Tactical Reconnaissance Squadron.
