Italian Flying Helmet

Description

Thomas C. Farrow was a B-17 aircrew member assigned to the 384th Bombardment Squadron in England during WWII. He was imprisoned at Stalag Luft IV when his B-17 was shot down July 1944. It’s unknown when he received this fleece-lined Italian helmet. The tag inside the helmet reads “LESA Modello T Taglia 58.”
