North Vietnamese Postage Stamps

Description

This fabric-covered folder holds 25 Democratic Republic of Vietnam postage stamps. The stamps depict several different subjects–household objects, animals, fruit, folk art, and military scenes–and are of different values.

Donor, Mike Phillips, was a C-130 pilot assigned to the 776th Tactical Airlift Squadron at Clark Air Base in the Philippines from 1974-1976. He flew missions from Saigon to Hanoi to transport members of the Four Party Joint Military Commission. He purchased the stamps at Gia Lam Airport gift shop during a mission.
