Operation Sun Run Ashtray

Description

Cast aluminum ashtray commemorates Operation Sun Run, a 1957 race that involved six RF-101C aircraft and the new KC-135 Stratotanker air refueler. The operation established new transcontinental speed records for the RF-101C.

Donor, Scott Henderson, was a member of one of the KC-135 crews.
