Personnel File Cover

Description

The brown leather file cover or portfolio holds Lieutenant Bernfeld’s orders, immunization record, insurance and allotment documents, and other papers. The number 201 was the designation used for military members’ personnel records.

In WWII Lieutenant Arnold Bernfeld was assigned to the 8th Air Force, 509th Bombardment Squadron, 351st Bombardment Group (H) stationed at Polebrook, England. As a bombardier he flew on B-17G “Faith.”
