RAF C Type Flying Helmet

Description

This British Royal Air Force leather flying helmet has moleskin chin and forehead lining, ANBH-1 receivers, and an elastic chin strap. At rear is a channel for internal wiring.

Donor’s uncle, Earl W. Hower, graduated from aviation cadet class 43-D. He was a P-38 pilot stationed with the 55th Fighter Squadron, Kings Cliffe, Northamptonshire, England, in WWII.
